Today Im so excited to be over at Our 5th House sharing my "7 Wardrobe Essentials". I hope you will head over and check it out. If you do not read Carmels blog you are missing out! Her blog is full of great ideas and DIY projects. Like her chalk board wall and gold chair!
And her amazing stenciled wall in her dining room:
I recently finished a guest bedroom for one of my local clients. She wanted to keep the cost down and shop local retail stores- including Target and HomeGoods. BEFORE: There is a bookshelf that spans the entire wall that we decided to keep for visual interest.
To soften the lines of the bookshelf we brought in an upholstered bed and from there the room came to life. There is still plenty of space to be filled with books & collected treasures. It was pouring rain the day I took these photos so unfortunately they are not the best.
I found these weathered wood nesting tables at HomeGoods and they are perfect for nightstands.
Because we had limited space to work with I choose a small wicker stool in lieu of a bench.
Some fun pillows from HomeGoods and a silk quilt from Target are the perfect touch with the upholstered bed.
I also wanted to show you her dining room and how its coming along. We are waiting on a pair of lamps from Pottery Barn and a few accessories and can call this room done! I had a few emails asking me about the wall color in here- its Restoration Hardware Stone- one of my "go-to" greiges.
Hello friends! Hope your week is going well. Its all kinds of crazy up here! But its good stuff and Im grateful for the work! Two weeks ago I had announced a winner of the Wrist Soiree giveaway and have still not heard from the winner- so I decided to draw again and announce a new winner. The NEW winner is: LAURA
I have emailed you Laura! In other news here are a couple of design boards I've been working on. I am loving all things neutral and lots of texture lately, but don't get me wrong I am also all about the color! Im really hoping to some day have a client that is wanting to go bold and have a little fun with color! In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy creating soothing neutral spaces for my clients.
