I have not been able to get Sally Wheats latest living room makeover out of my head.  Joni from Cote De Texas has followed Sally's home through the years and last week posted the latest and greatest.  You can see the full post here.

But it was this room that caught my eye and has held me captive for days

Great Buy Alert!!

I was browsing Target.com yesterday and saw this awesome chair covered in the Duralee Bold Expressions Fabric for only $159.99!  This would make a great statement chair in a bedroom- heck you could buy two (or three) of these and still be cheaper than one custom fabric covered chair.  Now I have no idea if this chair is comfortable or not-so if anyone buys one- I'd love to know what you think!

So Im frantically packing today for my London trip, finishing up some last minute things for clients and generally running around with my hair on fire!

Cheers!!

cheers & au revoir

One week from today I will be touring the streets on London with my wonderful husband- sans kids!

We will be having high tea at the Brown's Hotel

and taking a private photography class from Hairy Goat- learning how to take professional photos of the sites and scenery of London.  *squee*

After a few days in London we will take the train over to-- Paris!!

Where I plan on eating lots of Crepes & Macaroons while sipping coffee at the local cafe.

I've even scoped out some thrift stores where the locals shop for designer goods.  Can you say hello Chanel suit? or maybe a pair of Louboutin's?

I am beside myself with glee and can't wait to come back and share all the pics with you.
Have you been to London or Paris?  any tips or must-see places?  And does anyone know of great restaurants that are vegetarian friendly?  I may just live on wine, cheese and croissants while in Paris.

Loving in Blog-Land

I recently stumbled across some lovely furniture makeovers and wanted to share with you.

Carmel from Our Fifth House is in the middle of a makeover in her daughter's room.  She decided to paint the back of her bookshelves with chalkboard paint. And Im totally crushing on the gold accents and black detail trim!

Head over to Carmel's blog to read all about the makeover.

Then Samaa over at Honey Sweet Home scored this amazing hutch at GoodWill and totally glamed it up with paint, stencil and gold accents.

Schumacher for Kids

I received an email the other day announcing Schumacher's new line of children's fabrics from  textile designer LuLu deKwiatkowski.  The bold, fun colors are not over powering- and have a whimsical touch.  Isnt that owl adorable?

To see the full collection here.

If your interested in any of these fabrics, please contact me at amandaeck@hotmail.com

Easter Table

So it all started with this photo from Pinterest......

Original Source:  Ruffled

So I pinned it- and thought about it, and thought about it; then it hit me- I have a box like container and I have gold spray paint--- and so it went:

Of course their flowers are MUCH prettier than mine- but it works.

And now the rest of the table:

You can see a sneak peek at my greek key trimmed drapes. Unfortunately I haven't finished the 2nd panel--- I'll get to it one day (I hope)..
