How many times have you been in a thrift or antique store and seen those marble top tables with cherry wood legs? And how many times have you passed them up? I know I have.
I think with a little touch of gold leaf you could turn these into a real statement piece.
You could do something as simple as a thrift store chair like this one from Brittany Makes:
You can see her tutorial HERE- its amazing.
So next time your at a thrift store or better yet- at your grannies house-grab one of these babies and get to gilding!

Beautiful! And yes, I have passed them by in the past. The gold leaf makes such an impact.
